AAP COVID-19 Interim Guidance

On December 9, the American Academy of Pediatrics released the following COVID-19 Interim Guidance resources on obesity and lifestyles:

Obesity Management and Treatment During COVID-19: Guidance for pediatricians as they counsel children, adolescents, and their families about COVID-19 precautions with emphasis on the importance of continuing individualized treatment for obesity and its related comorbidities during the pandemic.

Supporting Healthy Nutrition and Physical Activity During the COVID-19 Pandemic: Guidance to help pediatricians recognize the new barriers to a healthy lifestyle that have resulted from the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the need to continue to address already existing challenges to a healthy lifestyle faced by children, adolescents, and families.(New: 12/9/20200)
